What is terrazzo?
Terrazzo is an exposed concrete finish that can be made from mixing different types of aggregate that is used on the floor and the wall. The finish produces a particled finish depending on the aggregate and the colour of the binder used. The advantage of terrazzo is that it is very durable, resistance to stains, scratches and suitable for high traffic areas. It is also easy to clean.

The most commonly used binders are grey cement and white cement. Grey cement creates a grey background which can be a good look if you are looking for a more subtle look. White cement tends to bring out the colour of the aggregates used more. It also works well when one needs to colour the cement as it takes up colour better than the grey cement. Some of the most common aggregates used are marble, quartz, granite, glass and aggregate.
